Art Gallery in the Amsterdam Spiegelkwartier
Renssen Art Gallery is an Amsterdam art gallery in the Spiegelkwartier, just a few minutes’ walk from the Rijksmuseum. Since 2011, the gallery has brought together the work of contemporary Dutch artist Erik Renssen and original graphic works by Pablo Picasso. Visit the gallery at Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 44 to discover these original paintings, sculptures and works on paper in person.

Renssen and Picasso in Amsterdam
There is something special about seeing Pablo Picasso’s legacy and Renssen’s vision side by side. Their work belongs to different generations, but the conversation between them feels surprisingly natural.
Renssen’s paintings, sculptures and limited edition prints reveal his deep knowledge of the artists who came before him, while remaining distinctly his own. Alongside them is a curated selection of Picasso lithographs and etchings. Different hands, different periods and different stories, brought together under one curated space.
The gallery has been part of the Spiegelkwartier since 2011. Known as Amsterdam’s art and antiques district, the neighbourhood is home to many of the art galleries Amsterdam visitors encounter on the streets surrounding the Rijksmuseum.

Art is, of course, best enjoyed when given a little time. Visitors are welcome to look around, come back for another look, and discover which works continue to catch their attention. The Amsterdam art gallery is open daily from 11:00 to 17:30 and can also be visited by appointment.
For those who cannot visit Amsterdam, original oil paintings, sculptures, limited edition prints and Picasso graphic works can also be ordered online. Worldwide shipping is available, allowing works from the collection to find their way to homes well beyond Amsterdam.
